About Emails to God
In April 2000 I started journaling my way through scripture. I call it “Emails to God” because I used to go to work early, sit at my desk, and write these prayers as an email that I sent to myself. These are simply my personal prayers to God and what He reveals to me as I slowly work my way through scripture. I hope it both blesses you to see the thoughts of a fellow sojourner as he attempts to grow in his faith day by day and inspires you to consider doing something similar for yourself. Doing this since 2000 has changed my life.

Keep working hard! Put yourself out there, volunteer or do something that will add value to your resume, and find another job! I don’t want to come across as rude, but sometimes God doesn’t want you to just sit back and pray, hoping for something to happen. He’s very busy and may want you to learn how to figure things out on your own, for your own good.

My name is John. I’m the blogger for this site. It is my prayer journal to God. I read your comment, and I can understand a little of your feeling. I can tell you that true discipleship is what changed my life. That is, first, coming to the end of myself, surrendering to God’s mercy and grace, and then deciding to follow him. Second, finding a Christian community with which I can walk as I learn and disciple. This is followed closely by spending daily time in scripture. That’s where these prayer journals come in for me. I’ve written thousands over the last 22 years, with many of them since 2012 or so being on this blog page. So you are not alone. In the meantime, I don’t know where you are in your Christian journey, but if you are at the very beginning, I commend this sermon to you. Finally, my prayer for you is that you will find the fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23 through a personal relationship with God. Those are love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, kindness and self control. It’s like getting into physical shape. You get molded into shape over time, not in a day or two. It won’t be easy and it won’t always feel good, but you will find these fruits in the journey.

Father, you already know the outcome of my very desperate situation. How do I tell you that I trust your wisdom your guidance your Love for the betterment of myself here on this Earth. Hello God,\r\nWhy do you give me so much pain.\r\nLike the day I feel like studying you gave me mental problems.\r\nEveryone is always so ahead of me and I am here, left behind with just my obsessive thoughts.\r\nPlease stop this.\r\nI want to work on my life.\r\nI want to be healthy socially, physically and mentally.\r\nPlease let me do my work.\r\nPlease take these obsessive thoughts away and let me live.\r\n2Allow me to live like everybody else.\r\nOther people do not waste their hours of time like me but instead study. \r\nThen why me?\r\nWhy not others?\r\nHow come others can study of they had problems like me.\r\nLike,\r\nThey do not have an unhealthy family like mine.\r\nThey do not have mental problems like me.\r\nThey do not have the absence of ability to study for hours.\r\nLike why me God.\r\nWhat did I do?\r\nPlease please please take this pain away.\r\nI don\’t wanna waste my time doing compulsive things for these obsessions.\r\nI have only left a few days for my exam.\r\nPlease show me a way.
